By accessing or using Trace of Nature you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Trace of Nature lets you record outdoor tours (hiking, biking, paddling and similar), log wildlife sightings, identify species from photos using AI, and view nearby observations from third-party sources. Some features are available only to Pro subscribers.
Plant and mushroom identification is for entertainment and educational purposes only. Do not consume, touch, or rely on any identification for safety. Many plants and mushrooms are toxic or deadly. Always consult a qualified expert before foraging or handling anything in nature. This app is not responsible for any misidentifications or resulting harm. Never use for people with allergies, and supervise children at all times.
AI species identification — including identification of animals, plants and fungi — can be wrong, including with high apparent confidence. You are solely responsible for any decision you make based on information in the app.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account. You retain ownership of tours, photos, sightings and notes you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process and display that content solely to provide the service to you.
The app uses AI models to suggest species identifications from photos you upload. AI outputs may be inaccurate or misleading. You must not rely on AI outputs for any decision affecting safety (foraging, eating, touching unknown organisms, medical treatment, etc.). See the Safety disclaimer above.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.
Pro subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the customer portal linked in your purchase receipt; access continues until the end of the paid period.
We work to keep the app available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. GPS, weather, maps and third-party observation data depend on external providers and may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable.
The app, its software, branding, and documentation are owned by Trace of Nature AB and protected by applicable IP laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for personal, non-commercial use within the plan you have selected.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trace of Nature AB shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or for any harm arising from your reliance on AI identification, navigation, weather or other information provided by the app. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid to Paddle for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (such as for fraud, death or personal injury caused by gross negligence).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Trace of Nature AB from claims arising out of content you submit, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, suspected fraud or security risk, or repeated policy violations. You may stop using the app at any time and request deletion of your data.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
